Sneha and Swetha lost their parents when they both fell ill and died as they couldn't afford proper medical treatment due to poverty. They were then taken care of by their aunt for a year. Their aunt who is a coolie, does menial jobs for daily wages, was not able to send them to school as it was way too expensive for her. So the children lost one year of education. As the condition of the whole family and the children's future became questionable, a neighbor who knew about Kiran Charities and Nambikkai Illam brought the children to the Home. The Sisters readily accepted them and gave all the care and support the girls needed immediately. After joining Nambikkai Illam - a Home for orphans supported by Kiran Charities, Sneha and Swetha are very happy. They have made friends with the other kids in the Home and have even started helping the Sisters. Last weekend, they paid a visit to their aunt, who is now very happy that the kids have found their path to a bright future and greatly appreciates all the efforts of the Home in providing education and support to kids like this.
